| ||What things have gone wrong with the car?||Navigation System: Very dissatisfied with this $2,000.00 option. The coverage is very spotty. A $29.95 map program from Microsoft or Rand McNally gives specific addresses in rural areas. Honda system doesn't even cover some major cities. On page 70 of the Navigation System Manual, they even state "you may then have to ask directions to your final destination". I didn't spend the extra $2,000 to have to stop and ask for directions. Have written both Honda and Navigation Technologies but have, so far, received no reply. Called Alpine Electronics to see if other software would work - was told NO! I would welcome comments from any others with similiar concerns about the inadequate map software. firstname.lastname@example.orgAnother weakness is lack of DRL's. When ordering, I was told this was just absolutely not available. Now, a $10.95 kit from K-Mart has solved the absence of DRL's.No automatic door locks.|
| ||General comments?||7-26-01: I took delivery of the EX-NAVI on July 8, 2001. To date the vehicle has performed very well. My wife is primary driver. She thinks the "fit & finish" are much better that her Dodge Caravan that she gave up. It's still too soon for a detailed evaluation. She complains of not being able to see ground in front of vehicle. Also has found the gas gauge problem with very early warning light. I did order two dealer installed options - fog lights and crossbars for roof rack. (Now, what good are side rails without crossbars?)|
| ||Previous car||I have had three Dodge Caravans. Bought this Odyssey because of ratings of new Caravans vs. Odyssey. Also, a new Caravan, with same features would be about $3,000 more. Have concern about future of Chrysler Corp.||
